Collection: Student Central (ages 4-21)

Research shows that students who have emotional intelligence are said to be better able to pay attention, be more engaged in school, have more positive relationships, and are more empathic. They also regulate their behaviors better and earn higher grades.

Is your child a student and is he/she/they going through a lot of emotions lately? Maybe he/she/they are feeling unmotivated, lonely, anxious, or stressed. Know that this is normal. All students, like adults, come wired with emotions and everyone's experience with emotions will be different.

Learning about emotions will help your child to better manage his/her/their emotions, in both the short and longterm, and give him/her/them the confidence to be better prepared to handle life's many emotional challenges in the future.

The Student Central guidance package will help your child to:

-become aware of their emotion(s)

-understand their triggers

-recognise the emotions of those around them

-and find tools to help him/her/them better regulate before, during and after an emotion has occurred.

In short, your child will become better acquainted with how they feel and respond effectively to their emotion(s) so that they can stay well balanced in the immediate and longterm.

Guidance with parents or a teacher may be involved if it is found that an emotion occurred with a parent and/or if a trusted adult is needed to better help the student to work through the emotion safely.

All confidential matters will be handled appropriately and a self harm or any severe mental health issue will be asked prior to starting the workshop.

*Please note that the student is allowed to opt out of the workshop with 2 weeks notice period and that the facilitator can make recommendations if she feels therapy is needed for a small fee.
